Just like any other property a motorway during its lifetime loses some of its consumer performance; therefore a need for recovery thereof arises.

A requirement to use state-of-the-art and innovative methods to improve road surface inevitably results in the upgrade of road-building machinery, otherwise, no innovative road building and repairing technologies could be used. Enhancement of the road and transportation industry cannot take place if out-of-date equipment is used, because they are designed to deploy obsolete technologies only.
